DARCY HOELLWARTH FAMILY RESILIENCY CENTER
Built on the STRONG framework and the Five Protective Factors this program reaches all populations and demographics, teaches and trains them with skills that strengthen bonds within families, and sends them into the community, prepared with the strategies needed to build a healthier family unit, reducing stress, and advancing hope.

FAMILY STRENGTHENING EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The core of our center's work is our family education programming, which provides tangible skills and knowledge to improve family well-being.
Family Resiliency Courses: These are our flagship 10-week courses offered quarterly, both online and in-person. The curriculum is based on the STRONG framework, which empowers families with skills to navigate challenges and strengthen relationships. For in-person courses, corresponding children's programming is provided to ensure the entire family is engaged and learning together.
Five for Five Course: A focused, five-session course offered twice a year in the summer and winter. It provides a condensed look at the Five Protective Factors, giving families quick, actionable strategies to boost their resilience.
Advanced Family Resiliency Course: An in-depth, ten-week course for those who have completed the initial Family Resiliency Course. It is offered in the summer and again in the spring, allowing participants to deepen their understanding and practice of the STRONG framework.
RESILIENCY PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
We believe that building resilience is a continuous journey that extends beyond the classroom. Our additional programs provide ongoing support and opportunities for connection.
Parent Circle: A monthly program developed by parents for parents that allows them to connect, share, and strengthen their families. This supportive, judgement-free environment rooted in the Five Protective Factors provides parents with opportunities to leave feeling heard, encouraged, and empowered with practical ideas from real parents - just like them.
The Resilient Family Hub: These quarterly parent workshops empower parents with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to foster resilient families. The workshops offer practical, evidence-based strategies for navigating common challenges, strengthening communication, and building a lasting foundation for healthy relationships.
Building Blocks Events: These events are designed to create a supportive and engaging environment where families can build positive childhood experiences and practice the principles of HOPE (Healthy Outcomes, Positive Experiences). They offer fun, interactive activities that strengthen family bonds, foster a sense of community, and equip families with the tools to cultivate resilience and well-being.
Family Resiliency Garden: Our community garden provides a space for families to learn about gardening, grow healthy food, and connect with others. It's an opportunity to practice collaboration and nurture something together.
