ABOUT MAGGIE THOMPSON
Maggie Thompson serves as the Director of Programs at Family Advocates, where she oversees the organization's day-to-day program operations. Her responsibilities include leading the 4th Judicial District Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program and the Family Strengthening Education Program. Maggie was hired in 2019 as a CASA Advocate Supervisor and was promoted to CASA Program Director in 2022 before taking on her current role. She enjoys collaborating with Family Advocates’ dedicated staff and the incredible volunteers who serve children and families in the community.
With over 20 years of experience in volunteer management, Maggie holds a Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) credential. She earned her BA in English from West Liberty State College and a Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
A passionate reader, gardener, canner, and baker, Maggie currently lives in Idaho but has called California, West Virginia, Georgia, and Texas home throughout her life.
