Volunteer Opportunities with Family Advocates

Family Advocates works to strengthen families and keep kids safe by empowering everyday people to protect and enrich the lives of youth.

Safe Kids.

Help keep brave kids safe by serving as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteer in our Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program. These volunteers work independently to investigate and monitor cases of child abuse, neglect, or abandonment in the Fourth Judicial District of Idaho (Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley Counties).

Licensed attorneys provide high quality legal counsel to volunteer Guardians ad Litem in foster care cases and coordinate legal strategy in the Fourth Judicial District of Idaho (Ada, Boise, Elmore, and Valley).

Brave Volunteers.

Family Advocates connects volunteers to many opportunities in and out of our office in Boise. These individuals may be looking to help file, do data entry, and organize our in-kind donations within our office, or help spread the word of our mission as an ambassador in the community.

Strong Families.

The Family Strengthening Program engages children in age-appropriate activities that build social and emotional growth, school-readiness, and leadership skills while their caregivers freely share their questions, concerns, and solutions about parenting. This program is seeking volunteers to work with parents and children in Boise, Caldwell, and Mountain Home.
