Child Protection 101 is a series of on-going monthly free CLEs covering the law governing a Child Protective Act case from start to finish. Come learn about Shelter Care Hearings to Termination of Parental Rights trials and everything in between. The intended audience for these CLEs are current volunteer pro-bono attorneys for Guardians ad Litem, attorneys who are interested in becoming volunteer pro-bono attorneys for Guardians ad Litem, Prosecutors, Public Defenders, Guardians ad Litem and IDHW social workers. This series will be sponsored by Family Advocates, and presented by Judge Andrew Ellis, a Magistrate Judge in Ada County for the 4th Judicial District. Judge Ellis has worked in Child Protection cases in one capacity or another since 2003.
